Final showing of the Wizard of OZ!

OZ IS DONE

ALL Play Pictures!!!!

Wow, I can't believe that its over already!!!! This past week has just flown by. The first two shows were absolutly wonderful, everything worked right, we had a packed auditorium-Friday night was standing room only!! We had awsome special effects, the Whang machine, wind, the Jitterbug, and to top it off everybody loved it. However, today's production was hell, I repeat HELL!!! I got into the booth, and flicked the switch to turn on the mixer, except NOTHING HAPPENED!!!!!!!AHHHH!!!!!! So Zach started taking it apart, and at first we thought it was the fuse in the power distribution box, so I drove to Radio Shack with my mom at top speed, picked up a pack of fuses, and returned, only no such luck, it wasn't the fuse. So then Mucci, who was there looked at it and couldn't find anything wrong with it (I've decided that one of the circuit boards has melted/corroded, becuase two years ago somebody spilled soda on it). So we went and borrowed Mr. Thomson's mixer out of his room, and plugged it into the imputs, however, only 3 inputs actually worked, so all I was working with was the hanging microphones, the boundary mic, and the special effects/solo mic. So then we couldn't plug in Ben's laptop because we didn't have a 1/8'' to XLR adapter, so that meant no Jitterbug (now all the choreogrophers are pissed at me). However, G said that it sounded fine, so I'm sort of happy that I pulled off a massive reconfiguration project in only 1 hour (which delayed the start of the performance that long as well, people had actually started to walk out). But the show was awfully funny, with all the improv and stuff. Although they didn't alough Amanda to throw water on Elouise during the witch melt scene. And during curtain call, we duct taped a sign that said "RIP" on the mixer, and Ben carried it up to the stage and held it up for all to see. So now, we still have a dead mixer, which will have to be taken apart by Mr. Charron, the "technical supervisor" for the school, maybee we can get a LEEF grant to buy a whole new one :-)

Then after the performance I went to Shebar's house for the cast party, where I did horribly at poker, then ate pizza, then went to the movies to see "Love Actually" which was sort of wierd. So now, here I am, play over with, now I can actually start doing other stuff again :-) however, I think I'll miss it :-( G'night.
