I went to the science league meet @ northfield mountain today, and i did an event w/ ozaire, matt s, + Whang. Whang and matt s got tired so they went back to the visitor's center, while ozaire and i tried to finish the last few things for our scavenger hunt, we took a really funky trail that took us in a freakin circle!!! So ozie and i got lost, and we went through a crappy little path in the woods, and my stupid neuromuscle thing made my foot all cramp and shit, and we had to cross little brooks and stuff. Then we went down another trail that i thought wouuld bring us to the bottom, but there was a crappy little line on the map that i thought was a BIG barbed wire fence. SO then we turned around, and had to go around the electrical substation, and get to the bottom, however, when we did get to the bottom, we encountered our "search team" that was just walking around in circles @ the bottom of the mountain yelling "longmeadow" like that was doing any good whatsoever. So then ozie and i were embarassed cause we got the award "they made it down" the crappy little mountain. That is my biggest adventure EVER!!! (amazing, isn't it...).
Then there's the AP test tomorrow, oh blagh, my brain is goin to be fried!!!!!
And here is ozaire's version of our little expedition:::
"Today Shea and I had a bit of an adventure. You see we went to Northfield for this science league thing that occurs every year. It was actually at a power station type thing where theres a resevoir of water that goes through a dam creating electricity. I remember coming to this place in Ms. Ranahan's 6th grade class, it was pretty nifty. But anyways........... coming back to the subject at hand Me, Shea, Matt, and John Whang were in this orienteering event where we had to find posts all over the mountain that each had a stamper that we had to stamp a card with. The highlight of this event was Shea and I got lost!!!!!!!!!!! we managed to find 2 posts but the others were impossible to find. We searched everywhere until Shea and I stumbled upon this peculiar looking path that had orange markers. We continued to follow this path for hours and hours only to realize that it had taken us back where we started. From there we went to look for Matt who was supposedly waiting for us where we had left him before going on to the mysterious trail. He wasn't there... so we proceeded back down the mountain and faced a humiliating search party that was supposed to be looking for us but they did a horrible job since they weren't close at all to where we were before. They didn't even know our names and simply called out "longmeadow" in hopes of us hearing them. In the end we won an award for "coming back" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW EMBARASSING!!!!"
