Thanksgiving weekend

Jackie and I went to Boston over Thanksgiving weekend, went to the Aquarium, ate at Fire & Ice, went to a comedy show, and ate really good chowder and pastries at Quincy market.

We had Thanksgiving at my house, Tuesday night I went to the movies with G and Ozaire and Andres, saw the Fountain which was really odd and hard to follow plotwise... Only two weeks left in the semester, almost time for finals, this semester flew by way too fast

Hubble

Hubble is getting another re-servicing mission via space shuttle, which will hopefully happen later next year; including updates to the gyros, and a new wide field camera... Here's the link:

Busy week

This semester seems to just be flying by... Had a long ASME meeting this afternoon, we're attempting to plan everything for the rest of the year, along with Human Powered Vehicle stuff (sponsors, final design, materials)... But on a good note, I just redid the Human powered vehicle website so its all updated and working now...

This Saturday I'm going to be going with a bunch of people to the P&W surplus store in East Hartford to pick up some stuff for Human powered vehicle that we could use...should be a fun geeky trip :-)

ASME Student Leadership Seminar

Yesterday was the ASME Student Leadership Seminar at Olin College in Needham, MA (Awsome brand new campus by the way...) Learned some interesting stuff on how to deal with difficult people, working in groups, projects for the spring, and good food to top it off...The only bad part was the horrid drive through the rain, and leaving at 6:30 in the morning...

Now I'm working to catch up on all my fluids homework, and hopefully get some materials lab in before bed...

Boston + Pumpkin Festival

Jackie and I went to Boston on Saturday, along with her friends Adi, Danielle, and Morgan. Went to Quincy Market, got some Chowder bread bowls, saw a street performer get himself out of a straightjacket in less than 2 minutes, and then went to the Pumpkin festival on the Common, walked to the Charles River to see the Regata, and then supper at Fire & Ice in Harvard Square, which took forever due to the long wait for a table...

After supper, we went back to the Common to see all of the pumpkins lit up (it was 10:00 by then), and brought some jack-o-lanterns back with us on the T...got some wierd comments from people... Driving back, everybody fell asleep, just me driving down 84, which looked like a black hole, with us being the only car on the highway...finally got back around 12:30am...
